What's the Chance of a Big Winter Storm in Georgia?

Everyone has seen the snow maps today that showed a monster winter storm for Georgia, and while you're chomping at the bit to get something like that, this is still Georgia, and our odds for an event like this are not very good. "Brother Larry" posted some stats today that help to put it all in perspective. Credit for all data goes to "Brother Larry"

"For Atlanta, the 0Z Euro clowns  2" on 01/1416 and 9" on late 01/17-early 01/18/16. Unlike recent years' clowns,  these are reflecting true snow as 850's are cold enough and CAD is not a big factor. But what does climo tell me about the chance of an 11" snow from 2 Miller A's 3 days apart?

1. Despite a classic snow (SN) track, the 1st Miller A snow is unusual being that the Arctic high is moving east out to sea east of the SE when the snow starts. More often, the Arctic high moves from the N Plains SE into the Midwest and then E to the Mid-Atlantic or NE.  Also, because there's no high to the north or NE, the background pressure is rather low thus enabling a rather strong (999 mb) low while still in the Gulf. Confidence in this scenario is pretty low due to it being unusual though this isn't close to impossible by any means.
2. 9" SN from 2nd Miller A. How many times has KATL received 8"-10" of SN from a single storm since the late 1870's? 01/1893, 01/1936, 01/1940, 03/1983 meaning about once every 35 years. So, is it remotely possible? Yes. But is it highly unlikely? Obviously yes. There have been many more 4-7" storms.... about 7 times as many (~28). I'd think this setup would more likely produce 6-7" than 8-10".  A 6-7" would still be a really big SN there obviously (biggest in 33 years). 
3. I have been thinking a 6" or so SN had a much higher than average chance there this winter based on ENSO analogs and have been expecting one major winter storm there this winter. Will it be in mid Jan or some other time? Who knows but a couple of the good ENSO analogs had big storms in Jan including 1988.
4. Chance of 11" SN ATL over 3-4 day period from two snows? Extremely low per climo as I can't find even a single instance of this. Closest was 2 that were that far apart that added to 10" in Feb of 1895 (6" and 4").
5. Chance for two measurable wintry events at ATL 3-4 days apart? Though not common, that isn't at all rare and, therefore, is at least believable. Examples: 2/2014 had this on the northside though ATL itself didn't and the immediate northside still didn't get major amounts. 1/2008 had this though nether SN was more than 1".

Regarding majors:

• 01/1982 SnowJam was actually followed by a 2" SN 2 days later. Total SN/IP 7"
• 03/1960 had a major ZR (freezing rain)followed by a 4" SN / days later. 
• 12/1935 had a late (12/28-29) major ZR followed by a 01/1/1936 major ZR.
• 02/1905 had 2 major ZR's : 02/3-5 and 02/7-8.
• 02/1895 as mentioned had 2 major SN's within 4 days.
• 02/1885 had 2 systems within 3-4 days producing ~7" total SN.

So, about once every 20-25 years this occurs."
