Echo Lake was buried under nineteen inches of snow. Temperatures again warmed into the 80's and lower 90's in the eastern and south central U.S. Thirteen cities reported record high temperatures for the date, including Atlantic City NJ with a reading of 84 degrees. In Dade County, over a dozen trees came down with wind gusts at a nearby forestry station in the 35 to 40 MPH range. The RAWS forestry station at Cohutta #1 (Murray County) measured a wind gust of 55 MPH. In the town of Chatsworth (Murray County), wind gusts of 40 MPH were observed.
