Still not a lot of changes. It's still looking like a wet practice and damp to wet at times on Saturday. Sunday does look relatively dry right now on all the models. The Tallahassee NWS office really isn't much help at this point as they hardly talk about Saturday and Sunday, but as of this morning, they were leaning toward the 00Z GFS and NAM for their forecast. The meteogram for the Adel area shows about 0.20" between 8 AM - 8 PM Saturday which isn't a lot of rain, just enough to be a nuisance for most cars and drivers. You can also see Friday on this meteogram and it too appears to get about 0.20" of precip throughout the day. So right now, it doesn't look like it won't be raining cats and dogs (not counting out frogs though) for the event, and that's good news.

More to come later this evening...
Let the rains begin. Many parts of the southeast are going to be getting some copious amounts of rain this week, as a very active weather pattern begins to take shape. A weak inverted surface trough currently sits along the TX/Gulf coast and surface cyclogenesis will start to occur today as the upper level trough ejects northeastward out of Mexico. Showers and thunderstorms will begin to breakout and this pattern will continue all week long.
The models diverge a little toward the weekend, and of course that's the important time for us. The GFS remains wetter longer while the Euro pushes the rain through on Saturday and dries things out for Sunday. The Euro and UKMET are also not nearly as strong and deep with the CAD in north Georgia and therefore temperatures are warmer than the GFS. The Canadian leans toward the GFS right now.
So... as it looks now, a very wet Friday practice, an off and on rainy Saturday, and possibly a decently dry day on Sunday. Again, 5 days out...
Today I have both the Euro and GFS to illustrate the differences between the models right now. GFS pair on the left, Euro pair on the right.
